Bluebottle is seeking an intern

We are looking for an individual who is interested in learning about how to run a retail shop and gallery space.

Requirements:
6 months minimum commitment
10 hours per week: Sundays from 12 - 7 in the gallery and 3 hours of computer work at your leisure.
Ability and interest to work on your own.

We are looking to staff an unpaid intern who will work in the retail/gallery space every Sunday from 12 - 7 on your own. You would be well trained but must be comfortable on your own in a retail setting.

The basics for the internship will be general retail skills of assisting customers, handling sales, creating window displays as well as tidying up. In addition, I would ask for you to work on particular projects such as updating our face book page, writing blog entries, writing press releases, creating exhibition postcards as well as many more marketing tasks.

My hope is that I will find an intern that has a desire to learn from my experience of running an art gallery for nearly 7 years and I can get some extra help! I would really like for an intern to gain a lot of marketing skills in addition to learning the ins and outs of how to run a small business.

If interested please contact:

Let me know what skills you would like to learn from working as an intern
How you see an internship developing your goals for a future position
If you have any concerns with working Sundays on your own from 12 - 7. (This is a must for us!)

I intend to set up interviews the week of July 21 - 25th.

Thanks in advance!
