Plush You! is an annual exhibit in October that showcases plush creations from artists all over the globe - there are 5 venues throughout Seattle participating in this years event. We are excited to be one of those venues!!


So to get everyone familiar we are posting interviews and doing special giveaways with participating Bluebottle Plush You! artists.


What is your name and where are you located?
Mandy Jouan / Sappymoosetree of San Diego, CA




What are your favorite materials and why?
Socks! They come in so many different colors and textures it is a never ending supply of inspiration for pieces.


How long does it usually take for you to complete a piece?
Anywhere from 10 minutes to 10 days!

What are you excited about lately?
Graduating from the prestigious UCSD with a Bachelors of Fine Arts this year!


Which super power would you prefer to have and why: the ability to fly or to be invisible?
The ability to fly, as a kid I swore I saw a carebear in the clouds once, I just want to see for myself how they are doing up there.


What's your dream project?
a whole house where every item is made in plush fur.


What did you do last Saturday afternoon?
Watched Star Trek (neeeerd!) and worked on a fish head costume!
