Arbitrary Art Grants

Greg Ludgren, a well known and loved artist here in Seattle has come up with a series of arbitrary grants!

This one in the category of Graphic Design. One random person participating in the graphic design of the Dada Economics exhibition poster will receive $500.00 cash. All entries will be exhibited in the Dada Economics show at this year's Bumbershoot Festival at the Seattle Center (along side and credited to your real name), but one random entry will be selected, receive the cash and become our official poster.

The poster must be 11" x 17" and black and white in format. All entries must include the words: (dada economics, bumbershoot, seattle, exhibition, rainier room, september 4th-7th, 2009, a vital 5 production). Other than that, it is a free-for-all, and we look forward to seeing your diverse, creative and entirely curious entries.

The deadline is midnight on Thursday, July 30th. Electronic versions of your poster can be emailed to: info@vital5productions.com in jpeg or pdf format, or hard copies can be mailed to: Vital 5 Productions- POB 23385, Seattle, WA 98102. This grant is open to all people in all places, of all skill levels. We will employ a pinata and a whole bunch of super balls to pick this winner, and as usual, the they will be selected at random.

On July 31st, we will announce the winner and call out the next grant category.

Dada Economics is an exhibit about maximizing public participation in the arts!

Get to work kids!!
